Another sketch by Louis Anquetin (1861-1932),  ”La Leçon d’escrime,”—a dessin original à l’encre de chine sur papier vergé filigrané, datant du XIXème siècle.

This is one of three separate fencing motifs executed in black ink on a single oblong strip of paper.

French painter Louis Anquetin studied in paris under Léon Bonnat, where he also met Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, later working with Émile Bernard and Vincent van Gogh.
