Male amusement in a barren landscape…
Boys and young men have congregated on a windswept mountaintop in Switzerland. The reverse of this early 20th-century postcard identifies an Edition Wagner as the copyright holder, located in the municipality of Lungern in the Kanton of Obwalden. (The population of Lungern was 1,950 souls in 2005… so we may assume that we’re seeing an assembly of about one half of the town’s 1910 population.)
